Think Tank: Data Transformation/Digital Transformation in Ai Healthcare

11:20 AM - 11:45 AM
The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the convergence of several trends in the healthcare industry, particularly how patients access and consume healthcare. Leading health systems view digital transformation as a way to become more consumer-friendly and improve patients’ access to care (e.g., tele medicine). The emergence of disruptive technologies, however, has also helped increase the accuracy and speed to diagnosis via making the diagnostic testing more widely accessible and affordable. For example, advancements in the genetic sequencing domain allow for a delivery of treatments in a more optimal, targeted, and effective way. Furthermore, wearables / smart connected devices allow to monitor patients’ health and vital signs and transmit information directly to their healthcare providers in real-time. Physicians can as a result adjust treatment recommendations based on the most current biometric data. Big data and advanced analytics have also become an important part of the digital transformation journey, and enabled new insights into the diseases’ onset and progression, as well as increased the understanding of patient journey through the healthcare system to enable optimization of the current patient care models. Machine learning and AI have also become an important tool in the diagnostic process, especially when applied for predicting disease onset and progression as well as identifying best suited therapies for improved health outcomes. For example, image analytics have become an integral part in the diagnostic process for many oncological diseases. With the wider application of disruptive technologies in the healthcare industry, however, there are also new concerns surfacing related to the standardization of the delivery processes and collected data, inequalities in healthcare access and delivery, as well as patient privacy and ethical aspects that might impact medical research in the future. As a result of the topic importance, the summit presentation will focus on the recent trends in digital transformation and its applications in the healthcare industry, as well as provide insights into the current and future challenges and opportunities in a variety of healthcare areas, such as patient access, diagnostics, treatment delivery, as well as resulting health outcomes.

CIO Think Tank: Using our Assets to Build our Digital Future

11:50 AM - 12:15 PM

Traditional organizations continue to move towards digitization of their businesses.  There are a number of common practices we are using for this transformation but many companies lose their way and revert back to what is comfortable.  Audacy has made a conscious decision to leverage our assets and invest in our future.  The role of the Program Management Office (PMO) in this organization is to manage that portfolio of investment work, apply best practices for project management from agile to waterfall -- keeping in mind one size does not fit all.  We have encountered many challenges along the way and would like to share three significant learnings.

Think Tank: The Future of 3PL Driven by Technology & Innovation

12:20 PM - 12:45 PM
The future of 3PL would depend heavily on the labor capacity which will be severely impacted by several factors such as labor minimum wage, working conditions, illiteracy population, the generation gap, etc. Labor cost is the most expensive item on 3PL warehousing businesses' P&L statement. Companies like Amazon, and Wayfair are attracting blue-collar workers by offering better compensation packages and relatively better working environments. However, technology evolution can resolve this challenge to a larger degree. Robotic Process Automation, Complex Data-driven solutions, IoT, and Blockchain can streamline the majority of the processes and transform conventional 3PL businesses into semi/fully automated powerhouses.
